Netball SuperLeague Team Northumbria v Loughborough Lightning

Loughborough Lightning will take on Team Northumbria in what promises to be a fast-pace and evenly matched game.

Northumbria:
Team Northumbria are big players in Netball, competing in both of the UKís premier Netball Performance League and Netball Superleague competitions.

Team Northumbria play their home matches at the fantastic and newly built Sports Central in Newcastle which has very quickly become a great netballing venue.  Lisa Stanley's squad will be looking to build on the 3rd place finish in the bottom tier during the 2012 season. There were promising signs for a youthful squad during last season and the progress made by Stanley and her Coaching staff will be evident during 2013.  They will be looking to challenge for a place in the top four to qualify the Showdown league when the competition splits in March.

Loughborough Lightning:

Loughborough Lightning earned their first victory of the 2015 Netball Superleague season with a fantastic 58-44 victory over Celtic Dragons, played in front of a sold out home crowd. With coach Karen Atkinson on the side line, the Loughborough team will be looking to repeat this early success against Northumbria on the 16th.

The team's aim and club ethos is to win the Netball Superleague whilst fostering the development of every member of Loughborough Lightning, be they player, staff or volunteer. We will support each individual in their progression and their contribution to our overall squad performance and team success.
