WSNet is the largest Womens/Sport/ACTIVE network in the world.
Mission - ‘Empowerment through Sport by getting More Women, More Active’.
Background to Women’s Sports Network
WSNet a self-funded, cooperative network of groups and individuals working independently as associates and part-time volunteers. It is a not-for-profit community approaching one hundred thousand worldwide. Crystallising the issues & coordinating opportunities around WomenSport & Fitness by working in partnership with commercial/NGBs/educational/Charity organisations to raise the profile of WomenSport & SportsWomen. Advocating better access to Sport/FITNess, alleviating gender-bias and empowering women & girls through sport & fitness in their everyday lives.
WSNet is currently working with partners in: USA, UK, China, Australia, Kwai Zulu Natal, South Africa, Malawi, Brazil and Nepal. Current girls’ sport development projects include: Cycling, Sailing, Canoeing and Badminton.
Not a commercial organisation; we’re an unfunded, not-for-profit group of parents keen to make a difference to girls’ lives around the world. Helping them build confidence and overcome some of the many issues they face when starting competitive sport and help them take that confidence into everyday life to become stronger more empowered women – and not feel judged!
We rely on donations from a very small group of parents and yet have developed a world-wide network of associates who contribute freely to the general shared IP giving WSNet the momentum to really change the lives of girls in both western and 'third world' countries.
